US Cellular’s @email.uscc.net gateway is reported to still work as of 2026, but its future is uncertain following T-Mobile’s 2025 acquisition of US Cellular — and T-Mobile already killed its own gateway. Don’t rely on it.

US Cellular’s email-to-text gateway (number@email.uscc.net) is one of the surviving holdouts and is reported to still deliver in 2026. But "still working" is not the same as "safe to depend on."
T-Mobile acquired US Cellular’s wireless operations in 2025. Given that T-Mobile already retired its own tmomail.net gateway, it would be no surprise for the uscc.net gateway to be consolidated away as networks integrate. There is no guarantee it survives, and like the others it can vanish without notice.
If you have US Cellular recipients, treat the gateway as a temporary bridge and move to a compliant A2P path that reaches US Cellular numbers regardless of the gateway’s fate.
How to test if it still works
Email a short message to your own US Cellular number at number@email.uscc.net (replace number with the 10-digit number) and see whether it arrives. If it lands today, remember it can still stop tomorrow with no warning, exactly as the dead ones did. Don’t rely on it for anything important.
